Whiteboards was conceptualized made available in the market during’60s. It started from the usual classroom chalkboard and is the favored learning and training tool in mainly commerce board rooms and class rooms. Chalk is replaced by whiteboard; in this way users make use of dry erase markers to spread information. Made with a pressboard substrate which is covered in paper with resin, this material is the least expensive.
Painted Steel or Aluminum White Boards
Painted steel or aluminum whiteboards are often preferred over melamine. They typically last longer than melamine white boards and are easier to erase. Though not as prevalent, the problem of staining is still a problem in this particular solution because of the porous nature of the paint sprayed on an aluminum or steel surface. Painted steel has a magnetic property, whereas, painted aluminum does not.
Glass White Boards
The advantage of a glass whiteboard is that it does not absorb any ink and therefore, does not need to be replaced due to residual dry erase mark. The disadvantage: It does not possess magnetic properties.
Hardcoat Laminate White Boards
This is the material used in whiteboards that are for hardcore environments. It is resistant to stain because it is less porous. This is so stain resistant and scratch resistant that many laminate white boards with lifetime warranties. They may be manufactured to carry magnetic properties or not.
(Porcelain)Enamel-On-Steel White Boards
With our new drive for environmental friendly products this certain material, porcelain, is remarkable for its environmental official recognition. Though not all porcelain whiteboards have environmental certification, it is likely to get a white board that does. Majority of these whiteboard surfaces hold a lifetime warranty and are scratch proof due to the manufacturing process. The production process consists of heating ceramic glass against a steel surface within a kiln. This process creates a greater whiteboard surface that is highly advantageous among white board regulars.
This type of whiteboard can be effortlessly cleaned with any non-abrasive cleaner and possesses a polarizing steel surface which lets magnets to be employed with the equipment. The porcelain surface also answers the setback of residual dry erase marks that often stay even after erasing.
Whiteboards have limited disadvantages. The glare may cause misreading of information especially with people that are vision impaired. When light is reflected white materials it produces glare and make is more difficult to read the presentation. In this case, the visually impaired prefers the chalk board because of its dark surfaces which then are less prone to glare. Dry marker doesn’t have indicators that it is losing ink while chalk doesn’t need an indicator because it is already visible to the user.

The answer to this question will vary based on the answerer’s location. One definite thing is the scarcity of water. Lack of water isn’t a concern in places such as the US and Canada but other issues related to consuming water are.
In a report published in 2005 by EWG (Environmental Working Group) , more than 230 million American citizens were exposed to 260 different pollutants in their tap water. This is when a water filtration system like the Katadyn Hiker Pro, comes to the rescue. Many scientists in America took part in this independent study over a 2 year period of time. They tested greater than 21 million tap water tests, and went to over 4000 water treatment plants.
Of the 260 contaminants found, only half were government regulated. As the situation was brought to public attention, concerned states like Arizona, Florida, and Wisconin used drastic measures to resolve their contamination problems.
Still, there are even more concerns about bottled water. EWG tried to perform an equivalent study on bottled water quality. Of 228 bottled water suppliers, more than half declined to give information about their water sources and treatment methods. This secrecy raises alarms for both consumes and health care practitioners. In bottled water samples that did under go testing, 38 separate chemical pollutants were found.
Some brands, like Wal-Mart’s “Sam’s Choice” showed cancer-causing chemicals in excess of drinking water safety standards.
It becomes clear, that bottled water is not a safer alternative to tap water. In fact it may be more dangerous, because little is known and disclosed on the origins of the water and the filtering procedures.
In places like Africa, Europe, and Latin America, this situation is even more adverse. If you’re in a part of the world where drinking the water might kill you, boil it or run it through a filtration system like “Katadyn hiker pro” before use.
According to World Health Organization, over 1.3 billion people have no access to drinking water, whatsoever. Natural waters become contaminated due to lack of sanitization and tap water is considered too hazardous to consume.
Pollution and neglecting the environment can make our greatest treasure, water, a deadly weapon. Each year, 1.8 million people die because of waterborne diseases such as Cholera and E.Coli.
People are now realizing how important it is to secure themselves and their families by filtering their drinking water properly and paying close attention to what they drink.Author Box
